Favorite IB film: Casablanca (1942)
Why do I consider Ingrid Bergman one of my favorite actresses? She dominates the screen. She captivates audiences in every single one of her films. It is no wonder why she was well liked and respected by her male co-stars. I chose Casablanca (yeah…it’s typical) because her performance in it is amazing. She convinces the audience of her love for both Rick and Laszlo. She shows her strength as she helps bring her husband and herself to safety. Ingrid defines the classic actress of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Her passion and poise is why she is remembered as one of the greatest actresses ever.
