Why do I consider Leo DiCaprio one of my favorite actors? First of all, I have seen 14 of his films and have not been disappointed with any of his performances. I think he puts all of his effort into making sure he gets as close to the character as he can. One of my favorite roles of his is his role of Arnie Grape (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape). Arnie is an 18-year-old boy with a developmental disability. He cannot properly take care of himself. It is amazing to watch Leo (only 19 years old) fully take on the character of Arnie. One can tell that he spent time researching the body movements and way of speech that Arnie would have. If you have not seen this film, it is a must watch!

Leo DiCaprio puts all of his emotion into every character, no matter the time period or personality. Look at Django Unchained! Playing a racist plantation owner was no walk in the park. He has worked with some of cinema’s best directors, which is a treat to us film fanatics. Each performance of his, in my opinion, is captivating.
